Run for Nurses
Compete for prizes and support Wenatchee Valley College nursing students at the fifth annual 5K Run/Walk for Nurses fundraiser at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Apple Capitol Loop Trail. This event is organized by the WVC Student Nurses of Wenatchee (SNOW) Club.
The event is open to the public. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Walla Walla Point Park shelter number one. The run/walk begins at 9:15 a.m. and heads south to the Pipeline Bridge before looping back to the park. Racing brackets include male and female divisions for ages 12 and younger, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 49, 50 to 69, and 70+. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest times for males and females in each division, as well as overall fastest times for males and females.
Registration is $30 for the general public, $25 for nursing students, and $20 for children ages 12 and under. T-shirts are included with registration, but may also be purchased for $13.

The 5K Run for Nurses event is being held in conjunction with National Nurses Week May 6-12, 2013. All proceeds will benefit WVC nursing students and assist with exam fees, test preparation course fees and graduation ceremonies.
